Senpai David Gort

David Gort began practising at Danforth Karate Academy in January 2017. David was awarded his first degree black belt in November 2023
by Shihan Peter Jaukovic. As an elementary school teacher he brings valuable and transferable skills to his instruction that
include leadership, strong communication
and the ability to assess student’s strengths and challenges. Using positive language and encouragement his goal is to motivate and challenge all students to strive to better themselves inside and outside of the dojo.
